Hercus Pty Ltd is currently seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to program and operate our CNC Lathe section.
Our CNC Lathes range from Barfed Production CNC lathes to our large 2 metre swing x 4 metres between centres CNC Lathe.
Both Fanuc and Mazak controllers are used, in conjunction with Solid Works & Hypermill software packages. Hercus offers the complete system.
Hercus Pty Ltd is heavily involved in providing products to the mining, manufacturing, agriculture, food production, maritime and power generation sectors; which in turns provides a variety of different machining opportunities from week to week.
Permanent position will become available after an agreed trial period.
Who You Are
* Will need a trade qualification in \"Certification III in Engineering\" or show relevant experience Programming & Operating on either a CNC Lathe or Mill
* Be fully conversant in Fanuc & Mazatrol control languages with experience in shop-floor programming in a medium or large capacity jobbing workplace.
* Able to comprehensively read and understand engineering drawings.
* Able to use measuring instruments (working with metric and imperial measurements)
* Be prompt, reliable, productive & ability to effectively work unsupervised.
* Have a qualified attitude and a sound work ethic.
* Candidates with experience in horizontal boring / machining will be preferred
* Comply with our OHS standards
