About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to join our Melbourne Audit Team. Our audit process is more than a compliance measure; it delivers actionable insights and substantial value for our clients. We work with ASX‐listed companies, privately owned businesses and not‐for‐profit organisations, and use Grant Thornton's proprietary global audit methodology and the latest technology to drive a highly efficient and effective audit process.
Key responsibilities
* Drive independent statutory audits of public listed and unlisted companies, proprietary companies, incorporated associations and other not‐for‐profit entities and government bodies' financial reports.
* Create complete and accurate audit work papers.
* Identify and report on client financial risks.
* Examine clients' financial statements to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Investigate difficult technical and application issues to improve client outcomes.
Skills & experience
* Experience in a similar Audit & Assurance environment with sound knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards.
* CA/CPA full qualification or an equivalent overseas qualification.
* Exceptional client relationship and communication skills.
* Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and team members within a fast‐paced environment to meet deadlines.
* Forward‐thinking approach to drive innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, decision‐making and team experience.
