**About the team and the purpose of the role**
The Digital Communications, Media and Parliamentary (DCMP) team is a multidisciplinary team responsible for communications strategies, stakeholder engagement, brand, publications, media relations, and web development, social media, internal communications, visual design and digital content design.
The Content Producer works as part of DCMP to implement the digital communication and publications. The role specifically assists with web publishing and digital content, accessibility and assisting with other tasks where required. The role will also have a small number of tasks relating to working with external stakeholders and managing traditional forms of publications. This role reports to the Digital Manager.
**Role specific tasks**
Assist in the creation and production of digital communications content consistent with accessibility and editorial guidelines.
- Closely monitor web content activity on website and assist with continuous improvement for relevancy and accuracy.
- Edit website with approved content using Drupal platform.
- Develop and review website content, ensuring WCAG 2.1 compliance and consistency in messaging and presentation.
- Liaison with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver digital content.
- Work closely with external stakeholders for all digital components to produce corporate documents and any other digital activities.
- Work closely with the Digital Manager on producing Annual Report, Corporate Plan and other corporate documents.
- Provide timely advice and recommendations about existing digital strategies and platforms.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including an ability to assist with developing engaging content.
- Manage multiple projects, strict timeframes and working closely with different sections.
**Essential skills and experience**
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to be able to liaise daily with stakeholders.
- Being a self-starter and a reliable and respective team member with a 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads, including prioritising urgent deadlines.
- Knowledge of digital communications platforms, especially Drupal 9 is preferred.
- Previous experience working with web standards (WCAG 2.1) is preferred, but not essential.
- Understanding of Google Analytics is ideal, but not essential.
- Photo/video editing skills would be an added bonus, but again not essential.
