Senior Maritime Warfare Instructor - Watson Professional Service Contract
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑level training in navigation and tactical operations to the Royal Australian Navy's junior Maritime Warfare Officers.
* Teach using a combination of classroom education, simulation, and occasional sea training periods.
* Ensure junior Officers are prepared to contribute to operations effectively.
* Deliver specialist navigation and warfare training.
* Conduct extensive training using simulation.
* Support courses through programming, briefings, and examination activities.
* Contribute to course review and development processes.
* Maintain expertise in navigation and warfare tactics and systems.
* Provide training outside regular hours on a shift roster.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
* The ability to achieve and maintain a defence security clearance of NV1 or higher.
* Minimum of 18 months experience as the Navigating Officer or Principal Warfare Officer on a RAN Frigate or Destroyer, within the last 5 years, or Commonwealth equivalent.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure.
