Weekend On Call Coordinator
Scope (Aust) is a registered provider under NDIS delivering a range of services including supported independent living, short term accommodation, social connections, lifestyle options, therapy and employment services across Victoria and NSW.
We are looking for a Weekend On Call Coordinator to work within the Accommodation Services Division. The Coordinator will provide remote on‑call support to Disability Support Workers (DSWs) during weekends and public holidays, offering real‑time advice or escalating matters to Level 2 managers when necessary. The role includes a 3‑hour administrative period on Friday afternoons, followed by on‑call coverage until 9 am Monday.
- Work location: Remote
- Mode: Part Time Fixed Term (6 months)
- Hours: Friday 2:00pm – 5:00pm (administration & handover) and on‑call from 5:00pm Friday to 9:00am Monday
- Rostering: 6‑week roster with 4 weekends on and 2 weekends off
Your Key Focus
- Provide expert on‑call support to DSWs during weekends and public holidays, escalating issues to Level 2 managers as required.
- Maintain accurate records of on‑call activity, including matter details, advice provided, Level 2 escalations, and work timing.
- Engage in handover discussions with Coordinators to gain context for each service.
- Follow Scope’s Policies and Procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Support Scope’s values and the Scope Approach.
What We Look For
- Robust experience in disability services with a solid understanding of developmental learning approaches, local community networks, and person‑centred support.
- Empathy and a commitment to empowering people with disabilities.
- Proven leadership skills, managing diverse teams and effective communication.
- High‑level IT proficiency for remote work across multiple systems.
- Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and compliance with occupational health and safety and legal requirements.
- Well‑developed networking and communication skills.
- Desirable qualifications in Business Management, Disability Studies, Community Services or related fields.
Candidate Requirements
Successful applicants must hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance, Working with Children Check, current First Aid Certificate (Level 1) and CPR, and a full VIC Driver Licence. A certified International Police Check is required for those who have lived or worked for 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years.
