Position Details
Reporting to the Manager, People Partnering and Talent Acquisition, the People Partner plays a key role in delivering a range of initiatives and stakeholder guidance to support the BPC's core People Strategy and strategic objectives.
This role works across a varied portfolio of work, including:
* Providing timely accurate advice, guidance and support to clients on all aspects of Human Resources, including policy and legislative interpretation, workforce planning, building and retaining talent, navigating people based data and systems, building and motivating high performing teams, employee safety and wellbeing, conduct and performance processes.
* Building client confidence and competency through coaching and contemporary HR advice.
* Establishing strong relationships across a range of clients to elevate a well-respected People Partnering brand.
What we are looking for
* HR Expertise: Wide ranging knowledge and confident practical application across a range of HR practices, Enterprise Agreements, policies, and legislation.
* Stakeholder Confidence: Skilled in coaching, advising and building strong relationships across all organisational levels.
* Multitasking & Prioritisation: Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism.
* Adaptability & Problem Solving: Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused in a dynamic environment.
About the BPC
The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.
It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
