About the opportunity
The Construction Coordinator is part of the Wilson Homes Construction team and reports to the State Building Manager. The key focus of this role is to support the clients during the construction of their home ensuring they have an enjoyable building experience. More specifically, you will:
* Oversee job progress from ACC/File to Site through to Handover, ensuring communication and delivery expectations are met
* Partner with key stakeholders to resolve complex construction, drafting, estimating, and project delivery issues
* Support team members in managing owner and contract disputes in the first instance
* Drive weekly construction meeting priorities, highlighting roadblocks and ensuring jobs progress smoothly
* Initiate and manage Occupation Permit applications, liaising with councils and external authorities as required
* Provide contractual support to Construction teams, ensuring variations and discrepancies are handled in line with company policy
* Manage owner communication touchpoints and general administration, including handover packs and workflow inboxes
* Monitor inspections, final account processes, and handover packs to support a high-quality customer experience
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:
* Have previous experience in a customer service role and a commitment to providing all customers with a professional and unbeatable customer experience
* Be able to work under pressure, successfully managing multiple clients and prioritising tasks
* Ideally have knowledge of the residential construction industry (building your own home, etc.)
* Ideally have the ability to read plans, knowledge of council functions and understanding of contracts and basic estimating and construction knowledge
* Have intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
