**Job Title:** Master Meat Cutter
We are seeking an experienced Master Meat Cutter to join our team in Werribee, Victoria. As a skilled butcher, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing high-quality meats to meet precise specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Cutting and preparing various meats, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry.
2. Ensuring each piece meets precise specifications for weight, thickness, and quality.
3. Maintaining strict hygiene and quality control standards in the handling, storage, and presentation of meat products.
4. Developing new meat products and collaborating with the culinary team to implement innovative offerings.
5. Providing expert advice and assistance to customers on meat selection and preparation techniques.
6. Mentoring and training new staff, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
1. Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher)
2. Minimum of 12 months experience as a Butcher
3. Proven experience as a Butcher, with a deep understanding of meat cutting, trimming, and preparation techniques.
4. Strong knowledge of hygiene and quality control standards.
5. Ability to collaborate and innovate in product development.
6. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and build customer relationships.
7. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in mentoring and training staff.
