Job Description The RoleAs a Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer at a23, you'll work with clients, vendors, and delivery partners to design, implement, and optimiseon-premises virtualised platforms,physical hardware, andpublic cloud services.We welcome candidates with all preferred employment types for this opportunity.
Please note that casual labour hire or subcontractor appointments are likely to be 12 months in duration at the outset.You'll bring proven experience in designing, deploying, and managingvirtualisation platformssuch asVMwareandAzure Local, with the ability to balanceBAUoperations alongside complex project delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience Key responsibilitiesInfrastructure DesignDesign and documentation ofprivate cloud server hardwaresolutions.Produce detailed designs forserver hardware management applications.Develop comprehensive"As Built"documentation for deployed infrastructure.Create security documentation using approved templates, ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.Produce detailed designs for private cloud environments, coveringhypervisorandplatform layers.Deliver "As Built" documentation and associated security artefacts for the private cloud platform.Develop and maintaininfrastructure-as-code scriptsto automate deployment and configuration.Design and implement integrations between on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring seamless interoperability.Create high-quality technical diagrams and architectural artefacts to support solution design and implementation.Collaborate with solution architects, security teams, and project stakeholders to ensure designs meet business and technical requirements.Skills, Experience and Qualifications5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure EngineerProven experience with Azure Cloud PlatformProven experience with Azure LocalProven experience with VMWare/VCFProficiency in scripting and infrastructure as codeAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Server, SCCM, and PowerShell scripting.Key Skills & ExperienceProven experience in HPE server hardwaredesign, deployment, including management tools like HPE OneView and related management tools.Strong knowledge ofprivate cloud platforms, hypervisors, and platform services.
VMware and Azure LocalProficiency ininfrastructure-as-code tools(e.g., Terraform, PowerShell).
Demonstrated ability to producedetailed design documentationand security artefacts.Experience withhybrid cloud integrationAbility to create professional technical diagramsUnderstanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements for infrastructure environments.QualificationsA recognised ICT certification or tertiary qualificationIndustry certifications fromVMware,HPE, Terraform andMicrosoftAzurecertifications are highly desirable.a23 Policy Handbook and Mandatory TrainingOn commencing with a23, all employees and subcontractors are provided with the a23 Policy Handbook and asked to acknowledge their understanding and commitment to adhering to its policies.
