SAP S/4HANA SD Functional Consultant (Logistics)

A consulting business is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA SD Functional Consultant to deliver design, configuration, and implementation services across logistics and order-to-cash processes. This role focuses on SAP Sales and Distribution within complex enterprise and government environments and suits a hands-on SAP functional specialist with end-to-end delivery experience.
The role is open to candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Canberra, with an expectation to work onsite in the closest office 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead analysis, design, and configuration of SAP S/4HANA SD and logistics processes
* Advise on SAP best practices across order management, pricing, credit management, delivery, billing, and returns
* Support integrations with SAP MM, FI, EWM, TM, and related modules
* Conduct fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and solution design workshops
* Develop functional specifications, test scenarios, training materials, and user documentation
* Execute configuration, unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution
* Support cutover planning, data migration validation, and go-live activities
* Contribute to solution governance, quality assurance, and change control
* Participate in design authority and architecture discussions for SAP SD solutions
* Drive continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives
* Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal capability development
Skills and Experience
* Strong hands-on experience implementing SAP S/4HANA SD solutions
* Solid understanding of logistics execution including deliveries, shipments, ATP, output management, and returns
* Experience delivering end-to-end SAP project lifecycles from design through hypercare
* Familiarity with integrations to SAP FI, MM, EWM, and TM
* Ability to translate business requirements into SAP functional designs and specifications
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in S/4HANA migrations or large transformation programs is desirable
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
* SAP S/4HANA SD certification is preferred
Security Requirements
* Australian Citizenship is required
* Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory
* NV1 clearance is highly regarded
