We are looking for a Nurse to support a range of business activities including delivering patient clinics and reviewing patient records for our clinical trials and QI activities.
Your work will help improve quality of care for patients with chronic conditions and rare diseases within primary care.
You will support practices to participate in novel real-life research and pragmatic trials aimed at improving patient outcomes, with the opportunity to build and contribute skills to a unique clinical trials unit.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis (3 days in office, 2 days at home) based in either our central Norwich or Oakington, Cambridge office.

Main duties of the job
National travel may be required with occasional overnight stays to facilitate clinics.
Travel will be at the expense of the company in line with the expenses policy.
Provide a clinical nursing service and support to other professionals with patient screening, optimization treatment, chronic disease management and advice.
Recruit and coordinate GP sites throughout the research process, ensuring professional relationships and regular communication with all participating GP sites.
Obtain and document informed consent (either verbal or written) from clinic participants.
Initiate recent services in line with strategic aims and to respond to opportunities as they arise.
Contribute to the development, review and implementation of patient and clinician resources including questionnaires, clinical decision support, feedback and promotional material.
As appropriate to the specified position, code and verify data in accordance with specified research protocol and coding procedures and enter data into a computer database and/or spreadsheet application for subsequent analysis.
Identify, Implement and evaluate treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition.
Provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication on medication regimens and side effects

Key Responsibilities

Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that encourage patients to live healthily and apply principles of self-care.
Provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication on medication regimens and side effects
Ensure infection control guidelines are maintained.
Monitor and manage maintenance of stock and equipment.
Adhere to information security policies and maintain patient confidentiality in line with Coldicott principals.
Role Requirements
A degree in life sciences, Nursing, (NMC Registered) or relevant applied experience
Experience of working in the primary healthcare sector.
Experience with primary care electronic medical record systems eg SystemOne, EMIS.
ARTP Spirometry accreditation.
Nurse prescriber
Specialist experience in research or respiratory disease management
Professional Registration
You will be expected to maintain your own annual registration with the NMC and ARTP (when applicable)
You will also be expected to be conversant with the NMC code of Professional Conduct and understand the importance of professional accountability.
Clinical Support band - £40,000 - £50,000
Travel
