About the Job
There is an exciting opportunity with the Parks and Reserves team for a Public Open Space and Playground Maintenance Officer. This position assists in delivery of a high standard infrastructure to the residents of the Shire of Esperance. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Shire's Public Open Space and Playground infrastructure as a member of the Parks and Reserve Team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* General inspections, monitoring, maintenance and construction of Public Open Space and Playground infrastructure.
* Operate a range of small plant and equipment including chainsaw, posthole digger, hand tools etc.
* Installation of general Public Open Space and Playground infrastructure and implementation of maintenance programs
This is a permanent full-time position, working 85 hours per fortnight.
About you
In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:
* Experience in undertaking Public Open Space and Playground infrastructure inspections, maintenance programs, projects and works.
* An understanding of construction and plant maintenance techniques relating to Public Open Space and Playground infrastructure.
* White Card – Construction Safety Awareness Training Card.
* 'MR' class driver's licence.

Salary: $79,281.69 per annum (including overtime)
