Job Role Overview
We seek a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents within various aged care settings. This role offers flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to pick up shifts conveniently through our user-friendly app. You will play a crucial role in covering short-term staffing needs and supporting facilities with essential nursing care.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough assessments of resident's physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
* Develop, implement, and contribute to individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Ensure safe and accurate management and administration of medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, etc.) according to facility policies and procedures.
* Provide a wide range of clinical care and perform necessary nursing procedures, such as wound care, catheter management, and pain management.
* Effectively lead and supervise Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), delegating tasks appropriately and providing guidance.
* Maintain clear and effective communication and collaboration with residents, their families, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and other members of the care team.
* Document all assessments, care plans, interventions, and observations accurately and timely in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
* Recognise and respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols.
* Implement strategies to promote residents' overall well-being, independence, and quality of life.
* Contribute to a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff, adhering to infection control guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* A minimum of six (6) months of recent clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse within the Aged Care sector in Australia.
* Evidence of having received at least three (3) COVID-19 vaccinations.
* A valid and current National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required by legislation and facility policies).
