Overview
The Library Branch Officer will assist in the day-to-day operations of Muswellbrook and/or Denman Branches. To assist in the provision and promotion of quality customer focused programming and services.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the library, maintain equipment and supplies
- Issue, return, shelve, and check library items
- Respond to customer enquiries in-person and online, including complaints and inter library loan requests
- Support library programs, displays, and promotional activities
- Manage branch administration including mail, statistics, dispatch preparation, notice boards, newspapers, and signage
- Accurately process and receipt payments (cash, EFTPOS, credit card), reconcile revenue, and handle general banking tasks
- Assist with collection maintenance and end processing of library materials
Qualifications
- Current Working with Children Check
- Certificate III in Library Studies or equivalent experience
- Current NSW Class C Drivers License
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the Position Description)
- Demonstrated Fundamental key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the Position Description)

- Casual, with an hourly rate from $42.9921 to $46.3914 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
