The role of a Band 5 Occupational Therapist is to provide high-quality patient care in various clinical areas. These include elective orthopaedics, orthopaedic rehabilitation and medicine for the elderly, medical and surgical services, stroke rehabilitation, and community rehabilitation.
Within these areas, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in physical rehabilitation services and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess good communication and decision-making skills, as well as a positive approach to person-centred care.
The occupational therapy team provides excellent supervision and supports individual development through performance development review and learning plans.
Additionally, there are opportunities for continuing professional development and promoting innovative practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for graduates or established Occupational Therapists looking to gain experience in different clinical settings.
A key aspect of this role is working towards a 7-day service to ensure improved outcomes and equitable care for patients.
