You are provided extensive safety training and development as an entry level Safety Specialist towards becoming an exceptional safety leader.Key job responsibilitiesResponsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToMaintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systemsSupport management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state lawsConduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductionsResponsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomicsAvailable to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekendsLocations:Kemps Creek, NSWBella Vista, NSWBrisbane, QLDRavenhall, VICBasic QualificationsGraduation date within the last 24 months or will be completing their studies prior to their start date of the role:
1) Completed a tertiary qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate) in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) or;
2) Candidates with degree (or equivalent) qualifications not in Safety disciplines, but who have relevant experience or;
3) Engineering Degree will also be considered provided the candidate has an interest and passion in SafetyPreferred QualificationsInterest in or previous experience in safety related employmentStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, especially around health and safety needs to all levels of the organizationAbility to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategyStrong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.Prior internship experience in OH&S (desirable)Acknowledgement Of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
