About The Role
As the Publicity & Events Coordinator, you'll play a key role in bringing ABC stories and priority projects to life. You'll support corporate and publicity events, contribute to media and publicity activity, and keep stakeholders informed through clear, timely communication.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate communications to support publicity and events, including weekly Media Highlights and internal updates
* Support the planning and delivery of the ABC Events Calendar, with a focus on corporate and publicity events
* Provide end‑to‑end event coordination, including timelines, logistics, approvals, briefings and post‑event reporting
* Support publicity activity and less complex campaigns, including responding to media enquiries
* Coordinate minor projects and updates to the Media Portal, while monitoring and reporting on media coverage and engagement
About You
This role suits an experienced media, publicity or events coordinator who is organised, proactive and ready to take ownership. You're confident working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments and enjoy juggling multiple projects at once. You collaborate easily, communicate clearly and like being close to both creative ideas and strategic decision‑making.
You Bring
* Prior experience in publicity, communications, events or media coordination
* An understanding of the Australian media landscape
* Strong project coordination skills, including managing timelines, approvals and deliverables
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in copy‑editing
* Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop and PowerPoint, and a genuine interest in ABC content and talent
