The Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel project is a significant infrastructure undertaking in Canada.
Our team is mobilizing design and construction crews for major works expected to commence in 2023.
The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will generate an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction, contributing to Ontario's economy.
Project Overview:
The project involves designing, building, and financing a six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River).
Station Details:
* One above-ground station integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
* Two underground stations integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
* Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Review shop drawings prepared by Subcontractor's Designers in accordance with Project Specifications and local standards
2. Coordinate with other departments for timely review and comment
3. Assist in forecasting shop drawings review by Designers
4. Track progress of shop drawings review, response of RFI/NCR, and modifications table during construction
5. Provide necessary inputs to track Designer's cost based on time and material during ESDC
6. Coordinate and interface with other teams within the Design Team and other departments addressing potential conflicts
7. Identify changes from the design (CD stage) with quantity variation for Design Manager review and proposal to the Project Management
8. Other duties as applicable
Requirements:
1. Masters degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering
2. Experience in detailed design of building and civil infrastructure projects (plan production and specifications)
3. Sound knowledge on building design and previous experience working in design teams or external consultants required
4. Knowledge and experience with Autodesk software (Civil 3D, Autocad, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM360), and other applicable common software in transportation engineering
