**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Project and Portfolio Delivery business unit for Water Corporation, the principal supplier of water, wastewater and drainage services throughout the state of Western Australia.
They are looking for an experienced Project Scheduler with substantial resource requirement analysis skills to support our project scheduling capability. This role will focus on analysis of resource capacity vs project demand through task-based resource scheduling and plays a key role to enable successful forward planning.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Establish and manage tools, reports and dashboards required to provide accurate resource requirements across all projects and programs, including forecasting for planned projects.
- Collaborate with the Project Management Centre of Excellent to ensure continuous evaluation and improvement of scheduling practices are applied, including the provision of training in Microsoft Project
- Lead collaboration with Project Managers and Project Coordinators in the use of the scheduling tools and templates.
**Skills and experience**:
- Substantial experience in managing project or portfolio schedules for a government or large, multidisciplinary corporation and/or a Degree level qualification in business, project management or relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience in and understanding of scheduling tools, techniques, and best practices
- Substantial experience in effort-based scheduling and portfolio-based resource requirements reporting.
- Considerable experience and a strong understanding of Microsoft Project
- Well-developed report writing skills.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
- Exceptional data and reporting skills with the ability to prepare datasets out of schedules for reporting purposes, specifically Power BI
As a Scheduling and Resource manager you will create and follow best practice and leverage technology tools, so that project managers can optimize resource allocation and minimize scheduling challenges.
