About Stride Mental Health, our goal is to support individuals who have recently attempted suicide or are experiencing a suicidal crisis. Our team delivers mental health services that cater to adults and young people, focusing on early childhood intervention.
Our non-clinical peer support program, known as The Way Back Support Service, provides up to three months of personalized assistance for those in need. It's built on personal connections and integration with community services.
Job Responsibilities
* Direct Assistance:
o Engage with consumers who have survived a suicide attempt or are experiencing a suicidal crisis.
o Provide referrals and linkages with relevant services, monitor progress, and report accordingly.
Requirements
* Minimum Qualifications:
o Certificate IV in Community Services related discipline (preferably Peer Work).
o Personal experience of managing wellbeing after surviving a suicide attempt or supporting a loved one.
o At least two years' experience working with individuals at risk of suicide and providing mental health support.
