About the Role:
MMT Recruitment is working in collaboration with an esteemed client, a well-established not-for-profit disability service provider in Greater Western Sydney, to find an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist.
In this leadership role, you'll provide specialist support services to people with disabilities, their families and carers through person-centred, strengths-based approaches.
You'll manage complex caseloads while providing clinical supervision and contributing to the strategic direction of our client's growing Allied Health services under the NDIS.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse caseload of people with disabilities and their families, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing intervention programs
Provide specialist services in seating and positioning, mobility and transport safety, manual handling, environmental modifications, and self-care needs
Deliver clinical leadership, supervision and support to allied health staff and students
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Contribute to strategic planning and organizational growth within the Allied Health team
Represent the team in internal and external forums and build disability networks
Skills and Qualifications:
Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA Registration
Current First Aid Certificate
Current NSW Driver's Licence
Current NSW Working with Children Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience working with people with disabilities with complex needs
Experience with specialised intervention strategies including equipment prescription and environmental modifications
Proven experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Strong understanding of NDIS implementation, reviews and requirements
Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Disability Inclusion Act ****
Experience providing clinical supervision and leadership to other therapists
Benefits:
Competitive salary range $95,000 - $110,000 based on experience
$6,000 annual vehicle allowance
