Yokogawa is looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to design, implement, test, and commission control systems based in our Melbourne Office! We want dynamic people who know Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and who can navigate across an organisation, wishing to develop their career to the next level.
What you'll do:
* The Senior Engineer will be responsible for Yokogawa's DCS, PLC, SIS, or SCADA Systems and may be multi-skilled in two or more of these areas.
* As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the project in accordance with the schedule, standards, quality requirements, and for maintaining and supporting the Control System.
* Reporting to a Service Manager, coordinate and conduct relevant service activities to ensure activities are executed in a safe, efficient, cost-effective and timely manner to the customer's specifications.
* Provide assistance and direction to engineering staff on design and implementation processes.
* Assist in the understanding and translation of client design requirements and the development of functional design specifications.
* Facilitate decision-making, resolve project issues, identify risks, and provide direction for mitigation.
* Supervise the design, implementation and testing of the process control configuration for Yokogawa control systems.
* Ensure the project conforms to the client's approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
* Mentoring younger engineers in the development of their professional skills.
What you'll bring:
* Qualification in chemical engineering, instrumentation, mechatronics, electrical, or equivalent with some IT experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Control Systems.
* Experience in the configuration and maintenance of OT infrastructure, complex networks, network management and backup systems.
* Extensive end-to-end project experience.
* Experience with Foundation Fieldbus, DNP3 and MQTT protocols
* Experience/understanding of SCADA system design, integration, and commissioning is highly regarded.
* Experience working with Yokogawa Systems (CENTUM, ProSafe, Stardom, CI Server/FastTools, etc) is highly regarded.
* Strong problem-solving skills and commercial acumen.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
