LABORATORY TECHNICIAN About the Role Join our team as a Laboratory Technician, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our laboratory operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering outstanding veterinary clinical pathology services. Work type: Part Time (Permanent) 25 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours as needed. Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday 1 – 6 pm, with potential for Saturday shifts. Your responsibilities will include: · Specimen reception duties and data entry. · Preparation and processing of patient specimens for haematology, biochemistry, cytological analyses, and referral testing. · Instrument start up and quality control procedures. · Maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. · Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of services. · Handling client phone queries and taking courier bookings. Who we are looking for: To be successful in this role, you will possess the following essential selection criteria: · Qualification in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent. · Previous pathology laboratory experience using high throughput haematology and biochemistry analysers and associated quality assurance. · Experience in data entry and patient record management. · Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. · Attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate records. · Excellent organisational and time management skills. · Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines. · Strong dedication to a positive workplace culture and delivering outstanding customer service.
