Key Account Manager
Industrial Automation & Engineered Solutions
Perth
This is an opportunity to join a global industrial technology organisation that sits at the centre of modern manufacturing, automation and process efficiency.
The business partners with some of the largest and most complex industrial customers in the market, helping them improve reliability, productivity and safety through high-performance engineered solutions. It combines deep technical capability with a disciplined, metrics-led sales culture and long-term investment in its people.
The opportunity
As a Key Account Manager, you will own and grow a portfolio of major customers, acting as the primary commercial and strategic interface between the business and your accounts.
This role goes well beyond order taking. You will be expected to build long-term partnerships, identify and shape opportunities early, and drive profitable growth through structured account plans, strong pipeline discipline and credible technical conversations.
You will work closely with internal specialists to deliver solutions that genuinely add value to customer operations, not just products.
What you will be responsible for
You will manage and grow key accounts through proactive relationship building, market intelligence and disciplined sales execution. You will develop and execute Sales Action Plans, maintain a robust pipeline and ensure all opportunities are qualified, tracked and progressed through the CRM.
You will engage with customers at multiple levels, including senior decision-makers, negotiating commercial outcomes while maintaining a strong customer-first mindset. You will also facilitate technical and product support, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate and practical solutions aligned to their operational needs.
Performance is measured clearly. You will be accountable for pipeline health, win rate, sales activity, budget delivery and growth in strategic and new products.
What sort of person this suits
This role suits an experienced technical sales professional who is comfortable managing large, complex customers and having confident engineering-led conversations.
You are structured, commercially astute and disciplined in how you manage your time and pipeline. You enjoy working in environments where expectations are clear, performance is measured and high standards are the norm.
You take ownership, follow through on commitments and build trust through competence and consistency rather than noise.
Background and experience
You will bring significant experience in technical field sales within industrial, mechanical or electrical environments.
A strong understanding of engineered products, automation, pneumatics or instrumentation is essential, as is a proven track record in solution-based selling.
You will be comfortable working with CRM systems, performance metrics and structured sales processes, and confident engaging with senior customer stakeholders.
A business or engineering qualification is advantageous, but practical, hands-on sales experience is equally valued.
Why this role stands out
You will be joining a business that takes sales professionalism seriously, invests in capability development and promotes people who perform.
The culture is grounded, performance-driven and supportive, with a strong emphasis on trust, accountability and doing things properly. For someone who wants to manage meaningful accounts, sell solutions not just SKUs, and build a long-term career in industrial sales, this is a compelling opportunity.
