Role Overview
School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Port Stephens Local Government Area. You will provide relief at school crossing sites in the Port Stephens Local Government Area. Shifts may fall between the school zone hours 8:00 – 9:30 AM and 2:30 – 4:00 PM, with a minimum of one‐hour shifts as required Monday to Friday during the school term.
Responsibilities
* Serve as a Road Safety Hero, maintaining a visible presence at school crossings.
* Assist in ensuring the safety of children, parents, teachers and motorists.
* Communicate effectively and remain alert to potential dangers.
* Show reliability by appearing in both good and bad weather.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of appointment.
* Will undergo training, and uniforms and equipment will be provided.
* Must be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and Health Assessment. Existing checks will speed up the process.
