What this job involves
We're seeking a General Manager to lead the overall performance of the property and the management team. Working in close collaboration with and as the senior representative of the client, the General Manager assists in the development of strategies to maximise the performance of the property and is charged with seeing strategies effectively implemented.
The role will play a vital role in strategic planning and co-ordination for a whole of precinct management solution, helping to protect the interests of all stakeholders through detailed and effective logistical planning, stakeholder communications and management.
A snapshot of the role:
Act as senior client representative across all stakeholder interfaces
Lead multi-disciplinary property management team
Drive property financial performance and revenue targets
Deliver exceptional service measured by client feedback
Ensure timely delivery of monthly reports and analysis
Assist with leasing campaigns and lease renewals
Manage public liability, fire safety and essential services compliance
Ensure building systems meet compliance standards
Develop asset positioning and marketing strategies
Sound like you? This is what we're looking for:
At least seven years' experience in property/asset management, ideally with previous experience managing high quality prime grade office assets, with a demonstrated track record of success in significant office lease negotiations.
An intimate knowledge of the office sector and ideally some exposure to retail property.
Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead a property management team, coupled with outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
Personality and standing to be an ambassador for the asset, representing the client, JLL, the property customers and community.
A high level of financial aptitude, commercial acumen, analytical skills and computer literacy, with the ability to manage an independent profit centre.
A demonstrated ability to add value to a property asset through identifying value enhancing and/or essential capital works, creating additional net lettable area, developing a value adding leasing strategy, etc.
Previous experience preparing detailed asset plans, complex budgets and comprehensive reports.
