At the forefront of innovation and groundbreaking technology, we are seeking a dynamic Production Support Officer to join our team. This exciting permanent opportunity is based at a facility in NT, where you will be responsible for supporting key health, safety, and administrative functions.
As a Production Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, with a focus on safety activities, training coordination, compliance, general administration, and stakeholder engagement across multiple sites. Your expertise will be essential in delivering site inductions, verifying subcontractors, overseeing safety briefings and documentation, coordinating training, PPE, signage, permits, contractor compliance, and general site logistics.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Deliver and manage site inductions, verify subcontractors, and oversee safety briefings and documentation (SWMS, JHA, JSEA).
* Coordinate training, PPE, signage, permits, contractor compliance, and general site logistics across multiple NT locations.
* Perform general administration tasks, including record-keeping, scheduling, reporting, and supporting daily operations.
* Support incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement of SHE processes.
* Support fleet rosters, first aid, and remote kits, and assist with emergency preparedness, safety drills, and equipment compliance.
* Foster strong relationships with local health and other communities while promoting a proactive safety culture aligned with BAE's life-saving rules.
About You:
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
* Must be open to a 12 days on/12 days off FIFO roster.
* Willing and able to be based onsite and travel between NT sites, including driving between locations.
* Experience supporting health and safety activities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Safety Management Systems, and confident in learning and adapting to new systems.
* Knowledge of fire warden responsibilities and Defence Fuel Installation Permit requirements.
* Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
* Full driver's license.
* Open to collaborating with the team to support ad hoc operational requirements as needed.
* Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
* Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.
