About the role
The Fleet Scheduler plays a key role in coordinating daily transport operations across road, rail, and shipping for our Burnie team. This role is responsible for scheduling drivers and subcontractors, managing fleet communications, maintaining accurate system data, and supporting safety, fatigue, and compliance requirements. Working on a rotating 4‐days‐on / 4‐days‐off roster, you will help ensure all fleet activities run efficiently, equipment is maintained, and customer and operational needs are met across the North West Coast logistics network. This position suits someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, is safety‐focused, proactive, and committed to delivering high‐quality service.
About you:
* Experience in logistics, fleet management, transport, or container operations (preferred)
* Strong understanding of safety, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and heavy vehicle compliance, or willingness to learn
* Confident using operational systems such as CBS, Tollworks, eTollworks and other logistics platforms
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across drivers, subcontractors and internal teams
* High attention to detail with strong data entry and record‐keeping accuracy
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem‐solving capability
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills
* Commitment to safety, compliance and high‐quality customer service
