About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our RealEstate (Government & Regulatory) team. Working in a full-time capacity, this role will work with our high performing legalassistant team to provide a high level of administrative support to a mix of senior and junior lawyers in a busy practice team.
This role offers plenty of variety, with the key responsibilities and duties being:
* Coordination of meetings and internal/external functions
* Opening and closing of matters including e-filing and physical archiving via Aderant Expert (billing) and iManage (document management) systems
* Preparation of monthly billing
* Creating, drafting, editing, and formatting a range of legal correspondence and documents
* Reconciling expenses for authors on a monthly basis
* All other general ad hoc administrative duties
About you
To be suited to this position, you will be a team player who prides themselves in exceeding all expectations and enjoy working in a high energy environment. You will have at least 2 years' experience working in a similar position within a private practice law firm. Your strong work ethic, adaptability, enthusiasm and proactive attitude, matched by your excellent communication and organisational skills, will see you thrive in this role. Further skills that you will need to demonstrate include:
* Experience in managing high volume billing (knowledge of Aderant Expert is advantageous but not essential);
* The ability to prioritise and work efficiently in a time-sensitive environment;
* A proactive approach, enthusiasm to work independently and excellent organisational skills;
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
* Prior property experience is preferred but not essential.
