CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer with a strong foundation in SQL Server technologies and integration systems? Based in Brisbane, QLD we are seeking a skilled all-rounder who enjoys working across control systems, backend databases, and automation environments for a long-term permanent opportunity.
You'll be employed directly by the professional services arm of a leading mining company and embedded into a Tier 1 mining client environment, where your expertise will make a genuine and valued impact on high-profile, business-critical projects. The end client is a well-regarded industry leader, offering exposure to modern systems and complex control environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Analyse, develop, and support control systems across engineering and industrial environments
* Design and maintain databases using SQL Server and T-SQL
* Build and manage data pipelines using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
* Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth control system operations
* Provide both remote and on-site technical support as needed
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
* 5+ years of experience in Control Systems or Automation Engineering
* Strong skills in SQL Server, including T-SQL scripting and SSIS
* Solid understanding of SCADA, PLCs, or other automation systems
* A hands-on mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Flexible to attend site visits on occasion (majority of work Brisbane-based)
