Key Account Manager – Earthmoving & Mining Equipment Hire

This business operates 24/7, 365 days of the year, and has completed some of the largest civil projects in Australia. They buy equipment from CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, and Bell, standing behind the brands to offer the latest technology and the best equipment.
Job Opportunity – This role focuses on winning and securing large Tier 1 and Tier 2 civil construction projects within NSW. You will be supported from head office and offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth, with full autonomy and leadership. The role requires 100% self-management, cold calling, senior account management, key customer account management, upselling, and pricing and quoting jobs.
Responsibilities include managing your territory, providing detailed delivery through excellent customer service, and working through referrals and industry leads. Your market areas will be Mine Sites (Open cut and Underground), and Land Clearing. You will have access to large earthmoving equipment like Wheel loaders.
Candidate Requirements – An outstanding track record in business sales, exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, underpinned by keen business sense and commercial acumen. You must have 5+ years of Hire equipment experience, strong contracts within the above markets, and a passion for Sales and New business Development.
The ideal candidate will have a winning attitude, be a great Team player, and have good all-round values. Professionalism and excellent negotiation and tender-winning skills are also essential. Salary package includes a lucrative earning potential, full training, technical support, and leadership from upper management, with a base salary of $150,000, Company Car, Company Uniform, and Company commissions.
