Job Description
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will understand the demands of the position. Working closely with the Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will be a champion of our vision and values, support team members, and deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders. The Cyber Security Engineer will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented. They will have experience working on foundational and emerging cybersecurity technologies in business environments. This role is expected to achieve KPIs set by the Technical Services Manager and Senior Cyber Security Engineer, action and remediate assigned incidents, and work on audit and remediation projects.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3+ years in a customer service role.
* Minimum 2+ years experience in IT or cybersecurity.
* Basic understanding of current key business technologies and concepts.
* Strong technical security knowledge.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
* Knowledge/experience in Microsoft 365, Azure Security Centre, Azure, and/or AWS, with relevant security best practices on these platforms.
Additional Skills & Experience:
* 3+ years in a similar role within a traditional Managed Services Provider.
* Strong understanding of current key business technologies and concepts, demonstrated through previous customer or referee references.
* Hands-on experience managing and maintaining SIEM tools such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel, and vulnerability management tools like Tenable and Nessus.
* Windows support and troubleshooting experience – Windows 7-11.
* Networking fundamentals knowledge; CCNA or equivalent preferred.
* Windows Server management (2008 to 2022).
