About the role
This position sits at the intersection of customers, product and electricity markets. You will work closely with energy traders, portfolio managers and asset operators to understand their workflows, trading strategies and operational requirements.
Your role is to translate these real market needs into practical solutions within the platform. You will help identify what customers need, how the product can support those needs and what new capabilities should be developed to improve performance.
The role is best suited to someone who understands how trading desks operate and can bridge the gap between market users and technical teams. You will play a key role in helping customers use the platform effectively while also guiding how the product evolves.
Duties
* Work directly with traders and asset operators to understand how they manage portfolios and operate in the market
* Identify customer needs and translate them into product improvements and solution design
* Help shape tools and workflows that allow customers to optimise battery and renewable assets
* Act as the bridge between customers and internal product and engineering teams
Skill/experience
* Experience working in electricity markets on a trading, dispatch or market operations desk
* Strong understanding of wholesale electricity markets and bidding strategy
* Experience working with trading platforms, analytics tools or internal market systems
* Ability to translate operational requirements into product or system solutions
* Degree in engineering, energy systems, economics or a related discipline
* Hybrid working model based in Melbourne
