Our government client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised AO3 Administration Support Officer to provide vital administrative and finance support to their regional operations team. About the Role:
As the Administration Support Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality finance and administrative services, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external vendors. You'll be responsible for managing documentation, processing payments, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
You'll be using a variety of digital systems and databases, so strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new platforms quickly is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and manage vendor payments to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Enter and maintain data in financial and information management systems.
- Review procurement documentation and support the preparation of purchase requisitions and variations.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and data summaries to support decision-making.
- Liaise with external suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and track payment progress.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with departmental procedures, WHS requirements, and governance standards.
About You:
You're a proactive and reliable administrator who enjoys working with numbers and has a knack for spotting errors others might miss. You take ownership of your tasks and pride yourself on delivering work to a high standard - even when things get busy.
You'll also bring:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or finance support role (government experience highly regarded).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Confidence working with finance systems, databases, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support your team wherever needed.
- Great communication skills and a professional, can-do attitude.
Requirements:
- Current C-Class Driver's Licence (mandatory)
- Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check
