We are seeking an experienced and confident Chef to join our team supporting the Australian Defence Force through our ESS business. This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to a chef who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high standards, and delivering quality food in a structured Defence environment.
Role Location:
Randwick Barracks, Randwick NSW
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and supporting a kitchen team to deliver high quality daily meals and functions
* Overseeing catering operations including food safety, stock control and compliance with OH&S and HACCP standards
* Managing menu execution, food forecasting, ordering and waste minimisation
* Ensuring strong allergen management and compliance with dietary requirements
What we're looking for:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery as a minimum
* Experience in a Head Chef or Chef Supervisor role in a high volume or structured environment
* Confident leadership skills with experience training and developing teams
* Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management
* Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
* Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
