Salary package: $142,446 - $158,323 per annum plus 17% superannuation

The Position
We are seeking to appoint a full time Academic - Lead, Student Development and Wellbeing. This role will contribute to the curriculum design and delivery of SMP courses and programs, undertake independent research and maintain a strong research profile aligned with the research themes of SMP, including in their primary area of work (student wellbeing).
The Lead, Student Development and Wellbeing will utilise their knowledge and expertise to lead the school's development of strategies to maximise student well‐being and development and contribute to the design and delivery of qualified development for academic and clinical staff in best‐practice programs to support student well‐being.
The Person
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to lead, coordinate, and deliver research, education, or training programs, and have experience in program development and implementation. Solid administrative and management skills, including leading teams, meeting deadlines, and achieving goals, are essential.
A proven track record in health research or scholarship, experience supervising research students, and a collegial, collaborative approach are also required.
The School / Department
The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) was established in 2023 to bring together expertise from Medicine and Psychology to develop a unique educational and research workplace. The focus is to produce psychologists, researchers, and medical graduates who practice compassion, conscience and skilled excellence, and with a knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and culture. The school partners with a number of healthcare organisations to deliver teaching and training including but not limited to ACT Health, community practices throughout the ACT and southeastern NSW.
