ME Medical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Paediatrician to lead paediatric services at Mount Isa Hospital as Director of Paediatrics .

About the Role As Director of Paediatrics, you will: Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for paediatric services.
Manage inpatient and outpatient care, child development programs, outreach services, and emergency retrieval coordination.
Lead a multidisciplinary team including Staff Specialists, registrars, and interns.
Foster teaching, training, and research opportunities in collaboration with James Cook University.
Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
About You FRACP in Paediatrics or equivalent, with current AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility for full, unrestricted specialist registration.
Demonstrated experience in paediatric medicine across a broad range of conditions.
Proven leadership skills, preferably with Head of Department experience .
Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Ability to work in a regional and remote setting.
