About the Role:
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to work alongside the Financial Lead & Accountant for the City of the Gold Coast maintenance contract. The role involves supporting the finance team to meet all management and financial reporting obligations. Activities include month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and claim preparations.
Monday to Friday
7:00am-3:00pm, flexible hours, 38hrs per week
Office located in Arundel, Gold Coast, Queensland
Key Responsibilities:
Processing claims efficiently (around 50 claims within 10 days of month-end)
Assist with journal preparation, cost allocation, and other adhoc month-end journals and cost transfers
Raising Purchase Orders
Managing invoice approval process & goods
Requirements:
Demonstrated advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.
CA/CPA qualification is highly preferred or currently working towards it
SAP experience is a bonus
PowerBI experience is an additional bonus
High attention to detail
