We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our specialist mealtime therapy team. Our team is dedicated to creating safe and positive mealtimes for autistic individuals.
About the Role
* This is a full-time or part-time opportunity for a passionate Speech Pathologist to work with autistic individuals across the lifespan, focusing on dysphagia and swallowing, oral motor skills, and picky eating.
* You will be responsible for completing dynamic mealtime assessments and developing mealtime management plans, as well as working collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to implement practical strategies in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver mealtime and dysphagia training to families, therapists, and support workers
2. Be part of a specialist, multidisciplinary team, enjoy variation in your day, and do more of what you love
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia
* Minimum 3 years experience working in this space
* Possess a person-centred approach, with a passion for empowering individuals and supporting their independence
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients, families, and other professionals
