We are a leading Australian manufacturer of heavy vehicle trailers, supplying the trucking industry with high-quality solutions for the transportation of bulk liquids. With strong growth, we are looking for a Production Support team member to help keep our production line on track.
About the Role
As Production Support, you will play a key role in ensuring our production processes run efficiently and that job information is accurate and up to date. A large part of the role involves data entry, job creation, maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), and monitoring stock levels of manufactured components. You'll also support schedule compliance, coordinate some external services, resolve data discrepancies, and keep information flowing between engineering, production, procurement, and the workshop floor.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, verify and update components and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in line with drawings and revision changes
* Raise and manage job orders in the ERP system
* Track production progress, ensure accurate labour/material bookings, and maintain correct job costing
* Maintain inventory levels and monitor minimum/maximum stock thresholds
* Identify and resolve discrepancies between engineering BOMs and ERP records
* Assist with coordinating external services (painting, calibrations, wheel alignments, freight) when required
* Provide general administrative and operational support to production
What We're Looking For
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
* Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
* Computer literacy and basic math skills
Not essential, but other helpful skills include:
* Experience in manufacturing, inventory, or production support
* Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing workflows
* Experience with ERP or similar systems (data entry, job tracking, inventory)
* Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings
* Experience with stock control and labour/material reconciliation
