Receptionist
Position Type: Part-Time 3 days per week, with potential for further hours
About the Role
We're looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our welcoming practice team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment, has strong organisational skills, and thrives in a busy, supportive setting. Previous dental practice experience is valued but not essential — we're more interested in your positive attitude, communication skills, and ability to deliver excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional first point of contact
- Manage appointments and scheduling to ensure smooth patient flow
- Respond to phone and email enquiries promptly and courteously
- Process patient accounts and payments accurately
- Carry out practice administration tasks, including maintaining patient records
- Keep reception and patient areas tidy and welcoming
- Support colleagues and assist with general practice operations as required
Essential Requirements
- Previous dental reception experience is an advantage but not essential
- Strong customer service focus with a friendly, approachable manner
- Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt as the practice grows
