The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a full-time role with sponsorship available under the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa program.
About the Role
As a Cook, you will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking meals in accordance with dietary requirements, including texture-modified and special diets
Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness
Regulating cooking equipment temperatures and ensuring safe food handling
Seasoning, plating, and garnishing meals to a high standard
Storing food appropriately to maintain safety and quality
Supporting menu planning and basic training of kitchen staff when required
Ensuring compliance with NSW Food Authority standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience
Food Safety Certification
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Strong understanding of food safety & health guidelines
Ability to work independently in a sole cook capacity
