Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and planning of capital projects, including parks, public spaces, streetscapes and green infrastructure initiatives.
Prepare conceptual designs, construction drawings and specifications for landscape projects.
Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies and environmental assessments to inform design decisions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—planners, engineers, architects and environmental scientists—to ensure integrated design solutions.
Engage with stakeholders and the community to gather input, address concerns and build consensus around design proposals.
Manage project budgets, timelines, construction and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay current with emerging trends, best practices and technologies in landscape architecture and urban design.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline with demonstrated knowledge and several years of experience.
Experience in procurement processes under the Local Government Act and relevant regulations, including drafting and assessing tender documents, requests for quotation and contract awards.
Class "C" driver's licence.
Proficiency with Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook.
High-level communication skills, both verbal and written, including correspondence and report writing.
Demonstrated time-management skills.
Compensation and Benefits
$98,190 to $109,973 + Super
