Salary: AUD45 - AUD50 per hour + Super + OT + RDO's
About the Role:
This is a hybrid position that combines
on-site installation and servicing
of accessibility lifts with
in-house fabrication
in the workshop. Based in Marrickville (Inner West Sydney), the role offers a mix of practical fieldwork and hands-on manufacturing in a well-equipped factory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the
installation, setup, and commissioning
of stair lifts, home elevators, and wheelchair platform lifts
Conduct routine and reactive
maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
on installed units
Fabricate and modify lift components
using cutting, welding, and fitting techniques in the workshop
Read and interpret
technical drawings and installation schematics
accurately
Maintain high standards of
safety and compliance
with Australian Standards
Work both independently and collaboratively with team members and supervisors
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction
Ensure proper
documentation of service and installation activities
About You:
We're seeking a hands-on technician with a strong mechanical or fabrication background who excels in a diverse role. You'll need to bring:
Proven experience as a
welder, fitter, fabricator, or mechanical technician
Must be a strong aluminium Tig Welder
Strong skills in
metalwork, assembly, and workshop practices
Ability to manage your own time effectively and take initiative
High attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Valid
driver's licence
