The Role
We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager with significant residential construction sales experience and deep operational understanding of how products and systems are specified, sold and adopted by residential builders, roofing contractors and allied trades.
You will be tasked with growing my client's presence and revenue in Adelaide and surrounding suburbs by developing new residential business, strengthening existing relationships in the residential industry, and driving category adoption within the residential build ecosystem.
This is a hunter role that requires field-based engagement, strategic prospecting and relationship building with key stakeholders in the residential construction and roofing space.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Minimum 3+ years residential sales / BDM experience in the residential construction sector, ideally selling into builders, roofers or installer networks.
* Proven track record selling building materials, roofing systems, cladding products, or related technical solutions.
* Strong market network within Western Australia, with established contacts among residential builders, roofing contractors, suppliers and specifiers.
* Commercial acumen and ability to manage a full sales cycle.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
Desirable
* Experience or background with market segments like roof ventilation/roof systems, metal roofing or building product sales.
* Technical understanding of building envelopes, roofing products, installation practices and specification drivers in residential builds.
* Willingness to travel regionally across WA as required.
Salary and Benefits
Base $120-$140k | 12% Super | Company Car or Car Allowance | Commission
