**Job Description**:
We are looking for casual Traffic Reporters and Producers to join our team
As a Traffic Reporter, you will get the opportunity to work across a variety of our shows, as you support them with regular live Traffic updates and reports.
As a Producer, you will work with a number of programs to research and develop engaging content for a live radio show
You will report to the Content Manager, and your duties may include but are not limited to the below:
- Researching, writing and voicing regular live traffic reports within our programs and news services
- Go live-to-air with detailed traffic reports and advice for listeners during major traffic events
- Edit and upload regular traffic reports for Nine's digital and supplementary platforms
- Maintain a relationship with related services, including Emergency Services and Main Roads
- Cross-checking all material for accuracy and ensuring content is legally sound
- Provide support to the Executive Producer, Presenter and News Director with the creation and delivery of audience-focused content.
- Develop content ideas, research, scripting and editing stories.
- Cross-check all material for accuracy and ensuring content is legally sound.
- Research and script stories for air
- Edit and upload podcasts.
- Operate and monitor our callers during the live show and ensuring suitability to go to air.
- Work with our News and Digital content teams to ensure consistency among our content
**Qualifications**:
You will have the energy and enthusiasm to embrace our audience and promptly attend to the needs of our most valuable assets: our listeners. You will also have:
- Detailed knowledge of Perth's roads and transport network
- Proven producing experience in radio, television or other news media
- Audio recording and editing skills
- Knowledge of news and current affairs
- Experience in radio or other news media
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and broadcast-writing skills
- The capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment
- Have a sound understanding of media and broadcast law
- Most importantly, a team player!
