Job Title: Telephone Receptionist
About the Role:
* Respond to incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments or staff members within the hospital, including communication requests.
* Handle emergency calls promptly and efficiently in accordance with the hospital's Emergency Response protocols.
* Act as a key contact in case of a hospital-wide emergency, providing critical communication support.
* Prepare patient records for next-day admissions by accurately documenting and organizing medical information.
* Promptly complete data entry tasks to facilitate seamless communication among hospital departments.
* Verify patient health fund details and process related paperwork for smooth transfers, ensuring accurate chart filing to assist the medical records team.
* Support other administrative duties or coverage as needed to enhance Patient Administration operations.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role within a hospital setting is highly beneficial.
* Availability to work a flexible roster that includes nights, weekends, and public holidays.
* Exceptional verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with diverse individuals from various backgrounds.
* Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, focusing on shifting needs daily.
