Daly Waters Pub
Daly Waters Pub is situated 620km south of Darwin at the intersection of the Carpentaria and Stuart Highways.
The Pub was built in 1930 and today it is one of the most iconic Outback pubs in Australia with tens of thousands of people travelling to visit each year.
Bistro is open daily from 11am to 8:30pm for lunch and dinner. Menu caters for steak lovers and those wanting to taste crocodile, kangaroo, and buffalo. Vegetarians and special requirements are also catered for.
Adelaide River Inn
Adelaide River Inn is situated 112km south of Darwin on the Stuart Highway, Northern Territory.
303 Bar and Bistro is open daily from 9am to 10pm for lunch and dinner. The Bistro serves old country style favourites and modern style meals. Famous for its local wild caught barramundi, and another dish worth trying would be the buffalo.
About the Role
Prepare and cook high quality food according to the menu guidelines and recipes so that it is delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
Key tasks include:
· prepares a wide variety of foods such as vegetables, spices, meats, salads, seafood, etc in accordance with prescribed recipes
· utilise the full range of cooking methods
· test foods being cooked for quality
· provide high quality food and service
· respond to orders in a timely manner
· manage ingredients and supplies for your station
· collaborate with colleagues regarding menu preparation
· supervise and training junior staff
· comply with hygiene, and health and safety regulations
Qualifications and Skills
· AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience
· proven experiences in a similar role for a minimum of two (2) years
· food safe qualification
· demonstrated knowledge and experience in food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
· ability to work as part of a small team and under limited supervision
· available for a seven (7) day roster
