Your Opportunity + Impact
The Engineer functions as a technical leader and is required to have a Professional Engineer (PE) license and relevant work experience. This position will coordinate overall design activities, project submission schedules, and will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties to ensure the final products meet technical requirements and client goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform independent planning and design tasks, review work of others, prepare construction documents, and deliver projects to completion.
* Have experience with technically complex projects.
* Possess knowledge of codes and standards applicable to project design.
* Maintain collaborative relationships within and across departments with project team members.
* Perform initial QA/QC review of project submissions.
* Assist senior management with schedule development, technical proposals, and labor estimates.
* Work closely with project teams to describe and deliver scope of work effectively.
* Support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors and omissions.
* Perform and review design calculations, technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
Education and Experience
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited school, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
* Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience.
* Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Qualifications
* Thorough knowledge of the A/E/S industry and the ability to review, understand, and resolve complex design and construction issues quickly.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software, or other discipline-specific programs used for site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plan design.
