About the Role – What Matters Most
This is not just a site management role. This is a people leadership role first.
Your biggest responsibility is your crew.
This includes recruiting, overseeing and supporting multiple crews across the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, ensuring strong communication, supported training, compliance, consistency, and performance across all sites.
You will be expected to:
* Communicate clearly, consistently, and confidently with your team, clients, and internal staff
* Lead from the front and create a site culture where people feel supported, heard, and accountable
* Train, mentor, and develop your crew, supporting their progression through structured skill levels and associated pay increases
* Work with your team to problem solve and deliver compliant, practical, and cost-effective outcomes
The day-to-day site tasks, compliance, and paperwork are all part of the role, but your success will be measured by how well you lead, communicate, and develop your people.
Key Responsibilities
This role suits someone with a strong trade background who understands how sites actually run and can lead crews with confidence and credibility, while also playing a key role in building and strengthening the team.
* Lead day-to-day site operations for asbestos removal and mould remediation projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil sites.
* Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
* Oversee site setup, equipment readiness, WHS documentation, inductions, site photos, and toolbox talks in line with ISO45001 and ISO9001.
* Train, mentor, and develop team members.
* Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors, neighbours, and internal departments.
* Manage variations, resolve on-site issues, and keep projects on budget and within scope.
* Maintain accurate records including day dockets, safety paperwork, daily logs, near misses, injury documentation, and equipment checks
* Manage multiple sites and crews, ensuring quality, compliance, equipment care, and adherence to company systems and procedures
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 3+ years supervising construction projects (experience involving asbestos removal or working around asbestos will be highly regarded)
* Trade Background: Trade-qualified (Carpentry or Cabinet Making preferred), with strong practical knowledge of construction and site operations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to lead, support, and develop teams
* Asbestos removal licences (A & B Class) and Supervisor tickets highly regarded, or willingness to obtain
* Construction Industry White Card
* Current Driver's Licence (MR licence preferred or willing to obtain)
* Ability to pass drug screening
* Tech savvy with experience using reporting systems (AroFlo, Microsoft suite, or similar)
